Mahavir Jayanti celebrated at Govind Sadan, an institution for interfaith development established by Late Virsa Singh Maharaj.
Swami Dharmananda was invited to chair the function. Speakers from Muslim, Christianity, Sikhism and some Russians were present and spoke of Lord Mahaveera's contribution towards Peace and Non Violence. Marry Fisher the organising secretary of Sadan conducted the programme.
Swami Dharmananda sang a prayer in the glory of Lord Mahaveera and spoke about the teaching and philosophy of Lord Mahaveera which is as relevant as in His time. He also spoke to the children and asked them to follow the small vows in their life.
