Samanijis’ Participation In The Seminar Organised By UPF

On Friday, May 15th 2009, to celebrate the United Nation’s International day of Families,Samani Prasanna Pragya and Samani Rohit Pragya were invited by the organization ‘Universal Peace Federation’. The theme of the seminar was ‘Preparation and Early Support for Family Life’.On that occasion, lectures were delivered by leaders of various faiths like Sikhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam and Jainism. Samani Prasanna Pragya spoke on the subject from the Jain perspective. She talked about two specific techniques, the small vow of chastity, and a unique principle of Anekant, which are applied in Jain tradition to train people for a peaceful family life and joyful co existence. In her speech, she introduced the books ‘Happy and Harmonious Family’,and ‘Anekant: The Third Eye’,written by Acharya Mahapragya. The director Cllr. Margaret Ali, and Robin Marsh, secretary of UPF paid their gratitude to Samaniji for accepting their invitation and sharing the views on the theme of the event.

Samanijis at Navnat Jain Association

On Sunday, 17th May, on the occasion of celebrating yearly event as ‘Samayik Day, Samani Prasanna Pragya and Rohit Pragya were invited by the Bhagini Mandal of Navnat Jain Association’. On that occasion people were benefited by the talks on various topics and Bhakti. Dr. Vinodbhai Kapasi spoke on the meaning and importance of the Uvasaggahar Stotra, Dr. Harshadbhai Sanghrajka talked about ‘Karma’ and Taralaben who came from India, shared her views on ‘Dharma Dhyan’. Samani Rohit Pragya spoke on ‘Samayik’. She explained meaning and importance of Samayik and appreciated the committee of Bhagini Mandal for organizing such kind of spiritual event. On behalf of all the members, Ushaben, president of Bhagini Mandal paid gratitude towards Samanijis for coming and enlightening all the participants.
