90th Birthday of 10th spiritual head of Terapanth Sect, his holiness Acharya Mahapragya was celebrated at South Kolkata Terapanth Bhawan in pious presence of Sadhvi Kanak shri, a learned disciple of Acharya Mahaprajnaji, as “Pragya Diwas”.�
Sri Sudip Bandopadhyaya, Hon’ble M.P. from Kolkata, Sri Vivek Gupta (of SANMARG - Hindi Daily), Sri Hari Krishna Choudhury (Industrialist) also expressed their views on Acharya Mahapragya.

In the afternoon a discussion forum was organized in which Ms. Mamata Banerjee, Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Govt. of India, was the chief guest.� She asked the people to follow the teachings of Acharya Mahapragya.� She said that saints preach people to abstain from violence and non-social activities.� We must abide by them.
Addressing the large gathering of lay followers and other guests Sadhvi Kanakshriji said - “A great mother gives birth to a noble person.� She expressed her regards to Baluji, mother of his holiness Acharya Mahapragya and said she was a great mother.� “Mahapragya was also born as a novice child and named ‘Nathu’.� It has been only through his deeds and knowledge that he could become Yug Purush.� Really a person become great not by birth, but by the virtues he attains and his deeds.� Acharya Mahapragya is a Jain saint and head of Terapanth Sect. of Jains.� He is the inventor of Preksha Meditation with non-stop experiments which is a noble mixture of Science & Spirituality.� He is a Yug Purush of this era.� With his multifarious personality he has contributed a lot in the field of Education, Humanity, Religion and Society by engraving permanent images in minds of people coming across.
The Programme of Pragya Diwas was compered by Sri Bhanwarlal Singhi.� Sri Surendra Kumar Dugar (President - South Kolkata Sabha), Sri Narendra Kumar Manot (Convener of South Kolkata Sabha & Secretary of Shree Jain Swetamber Terapanthi Sabha, Kolkata), Sri Banechand Maloo, Sri Karan Singh Nahata (President, Shree Jain Swetamber Terapanthi Sabha, Kolkata), Smt. Pratibha Kothari (President, Terapanth Mahila Mandal), Sri Kuldeep Manot (President, Terapanth Yuvak Parishad), expressed their views on the noble work being done by the great saint of the present era.
A Preksha Meditation Camp was also organized by TYP from 6.30 A.M. to 3 P.M. with meditation under musical environment.� Sri Ranjit Dugar, the Chief Trainer taught the basics of meditation and how to energize one self to go deep into meditation.
