After the Sunday discourse at SAM GARDEN Sadhvi Kanakshri ji and fellow sadhvishri left for Terapanth Sabha Trust Bhawan in a procession joined by hundreds of Shrawaks and shrawikas. Sadhvishri will stay at Trust Bhawan for the last two months of Chaturmas. On way to the trust Bhawan, Sadhvi Shri Kanakshri ji reached at North Howrah Terapanthi Sabha office at Sohandeep. After a brief stay there, Sadhvishri reached the trust Bhawan in the afternoon.
In the Special Sunday programme the nominated office bearers and committee members of the Kolkata Sabha for the year 2010-12 by the newly elected president Sri Karan Singh Nahata took oath of their duty and ‘AHIMSA PATH KE MAHAPATHIK’ a book compiled and edited by Sri Kamal Kumar Dugar and published by K.B.D. Foundation was presented at Kolkata in pious presence of Sadhvi Kanakshri ji, a learned disciple of H.H. Acharya Shri Mahashramanji. The programme was organized at Sanyam Samawsaran at SAM GARDEN, North Howrah. Incidentally the day was the last day of the first two months of stay of Sadhvi Kanakshri ji at this place. First two months of the chaturmas being complete today Sadhvi Kanakshri ji and fellow sadhvis left for North Howrah Sabha Trust Bhawan, where the rest two months of the ongoing chaturmas will be spent.
The oath taking ceremony was managed by Shri Bhanwarlal Baid, former president of Kolkata Sabha. Shri Karan singh Nahata (President), Sri Narendra Kumar Manot (Secretary) and other office bearers and committee members took oath by reading the oath as guided by sri Bhanwarlal Baid. On the occasion, members of the newly constituted Trust Board of Kolkata Sabha - Shri Tulsi Kumar Dugar, Shri Bhanwarlal Baid, Shri Prakash Chand Baid, Shri Vinod Choraria, Shri Vivek Kathotia and Arbitrators - Shri Prakash Baid, Shri were also present.
The Book was presented by Shri Choudhury Mohan Jatua, Minister of state in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The programme was also attended by Sri Shovan Chatterje- Mayor of Kolkata, Sri Ambika Banerjee- Member of Parliament from Howrah, Sri Mahendra Jalan- Industrialist and many other people from the Government administration were present on the occasion. The guests were welcomed by Sri Bimal Baid, secretary of North Howrah Sabha. The office bearers of the central committees of Terapanth Dharam Sangh viz- Jain Swetamber Terapanthi Mahasabha, Jain Vishwa Bharti-Ladnun, Jai Tulsi Foundation, ABTYP, Terapanth Professional Forum, All India Terapanth Mahila Mandal were also present along with the Office bearers of Local Sabhas of Greater Kolkata. Sri Kamal Dugar expressed his views about the book and devoted it to reverend Acharya Sheri Mahapragyaji. Shri C. M. Jatua, Sri Shovan Chattrerje and Sri Ambika Banerjee also spoke about the book and paid tributes to Acharya Mahapragya. They expressed their feelings that the philosophy of Acharya Mahaprajna is definitely going to solve the problem of the present world provided people adhere to it and practice his teachings in their life. The distinguished guests and Sri Kamal Dugar were honored by North Howrah Sabha and TEYUP.
Sadhvi Kanakshri ji, addressing the gathering said- “The editor and compiler Sri Kamal Dugar has put in great effort in spreading the philosophy of Acharya Mahapragy amidst the politicians and influential people of the country. The book contains apart from the philosophy of Acharyashree, the views and respectful homage to the Acharya by leading personalities of the country. It is definitely going to spread the message of the teachings of Acharya Mahapragyaji amongst the masses with whom the great persona (leaders) are connected with. The legendary mahatma Mahapragya has experimented all through his life to present his findings to eradicate the evils of economic imbalance, poverty, unemployment, enmity etc which are the root cause of violence and terrorism in the world. Anuvrat, Preksha meditation, Science of Living, Ahimsa Samvay offer fantastic solutions to these problems.”Today Sri Lalit Ghoshal, his wife and his son Jay Ghoshal and many others were present in 8th day of their fast. The three from the Ghoshal family formed unique pair of Husband-wife, Father-son. Mother-son, practicing 8 days long fast at a time. Sadhvi Shriji and fellow Sadhvi praised their effort and the way of contention undertaken by them to purify the soul. The fasting devotees were presented literary mementoes by the North Howrah Sabha. Sadhvi shriji expressed satisfaction over the nice arrangements made by the North Howrah Sabha at SAM Garden for the devotees and the programmes during the two months of chaturmas. Incidentally the Sabha was nominated as the ‘Shrestha Sabha’ by the Mahasabha during the recent ‘Sabha Pratinidhi Sammelan-2010’ held at Sardarshahr in pious presence of Acharya Shri Mahashramanji. The North Howrah Sabha president Shri Amarchand Dugar and his team was overwhelmed with joy on the occasion.
