Samani Jayant Pragya is a disciple of Acharya Mahaprajna. She was born in Gangashahar, Rajasthan, India. Samaniji took Diksha in 1988 at Shree Dungargrah, Rajasthan. She comes from a family with deep religious traditions where more than 15 family members have been initiated as monks or nuns in the Terapanth order.

Samaniji joined Parmarthik Shikshan Sanstha, Ladnun, at the age of 16. Parmarthik Shikshan Sanstha is an educational and training center for aspirants interested in taking up monk-hood in the Jain Terapanth order. Samani Jayant Pragya completed her bachelor degree at the Sanstha prior to her initiation. She has subsequently also earned her master degree in non-violence and peace research from Jain Vishva Bharati Institute, Ladnun.

Samaniji has extensively traveled to spread the message of Bhagwan Mahavir, under the guidance of her Guru. She has lectured on different aspects of Jainism, Ahimsa, peaceful life-style and life management through Preksha (Meditation and Yoga) in USA, Japan, Nepal, Europe and all across India.

Samani Jayant Pragya has studied the Jain Agams and various other Jain scriptures. She has deep knowledge of Jain Tatva Gyan and Jain History. Samaniji knows Hindi, Rajasthani, English, and has a working knowledge of Sanskrit and Ardhmagdhi. She has very good oratory skill and is also a melodious singer.

Her interactive, friendly, and convincing presentation on Science of Living (Jeevan Vigyan) and Preksha leaves a lasting impression on her audience. She also teaches therapeutic healing through Preksha, Pranic Healing and Reiki. Samani Jayant Pragya was interviewed on Nepal T.V and radio talk show. She has also addressed press conferences in India and Nepal. Samaniji has organized and participated in various workshops, Preksha Meditation Camps, Jainism lecture series, interfaith programs and teachers training.
