We would like to thank everyone who attended the Akshaya Tritaya programme and launch of the Jain World Peace Centre on 26 April 2015 in the presence of Respected Samani Pratibha Pragyaji and Samani Pranav Pragyaji.
We were also honoured to have President, Vice President & Trustees from Terapanth Mahasabha (TMS), India. Mr. Kamalji Dugar, President of TMS gave a thought provoking and inspiring speech to launch the project of Jain World Peace Centre.
We are very grateful to everyone who extended their support and pledged funds for the Jain World Peace Centre with a view of establishing a permanent base for housing Respected Samanijis. During the presentation we announced that the target funding is for £700,000 out of which £300,000 has been pledged by TMS. Let us all join hands and work together to fulfil our support in completing this noble task.

For those who did not attend the function, we would like to inform you that Jain Vishwa Bharati (London) has embarked on a project to have a permanent house for the Samanijis. Samanijis represent Jain Monks and Nuns who impart an invaluable service to the ENTIRE society, in particular to the Jains in the UK and Europe. No Jain scholar or expert can act as a proxy to Samanijis as the Samanijis “Walk the Talk” whereas everyone else “Talks the Talk”.
JVB is the only Jain organisationin the UK that has the ambition of having a permanent presence of Jain Nuns (Samanijis) in the UK so that we all benefit from their presence and by having a permanent base we ensure that future generations can also have a spiritual source of inspiration.
Respected Samanijis are and will be an integral part of our community and benefit the entire spectrum of our society. They are proficient in English enabling them to communicate with the young in an inspiring manner
We need a permanent residence for Jain Nuns……and for that we need support from the entire community
