On 8th November, Jain community of Miami felt privileged to have the auspicious presence of Samani Madhur Pragya ji and Samani Vikas Pragya ji who all the way came from Jain Vishva Bharati Centre, Orlando and Samani Shukla Pragya ji and Samani Rohit Pragya ji came from Miami to conduct the programme of Mahavir Nirvan Divas. Auspicious event began with the recitation of Namaskar Mahamantra. Laksha bhai, the president of Jain centre Miami welcomed Samanijis. Samani Shukla Pragyaji and Rohit Pragyaji gave the short message of New Year and introduced Samani Madhur Pragyaji and Vikas Pragyaji. Samani Vikas Pragyaji presented a melodious song themed on Bhagavan Mahavir’s life.
Samani Madhur Pragyaji spoke on the importance of Deepavali and Mahavir Nirvan Divas. In her lecture explaining the meaning of Nirvan she said “nirvana means the manifestation of Being, it is the liberation, a state of Parmatma, a state of eternal or incessant bliss. She enlightened the audience by giving the various interpretation of Laxmi (wealth). Giving the message of Deepavali, she suggested people to focus on enlightening the self rather than lightening only the external lamps. She further said that self illumination is possible only by annihilating the ego and other negative emotions.
On this occasion, samaniji informed the gathering about the Family camp being organised from 15th to 19th January by Jain Vishva Bharati Centre, Orlando. She motivated gathering to take part in spiritual camp. Many people showed their interest to attend the camp. Event was closed with Mangal Path.
