अर्थ~~16 ~~ तीर्थकर शांति प्रभु
मै अर्हत् शांति की बलिहारी जाता हूँ।

शांति प्रभु! तुम शांतिकारक,शिवदायक और सुख के मूल हो ।

तुम्हारी अमृत जैसी मधुर अनुपमेय अमरवाणी मिथ्यात्व-जनित मंदता को मिटाने वाली है ।

काम-भोग और राग-द्वेष कड़वे फलवाले है,विष लता के समान हैं और मोह-मूर्च्छा के परिणाम है।

वासना राक्षसी और वैतरणी नदी है। मनुष्य की देह अशुचि और दुर्गन्ध की पुतली है।

तुमने विविध उपदेश देकर लोगों को तृष्णा के पार पहूंचाया।हे विश्वपुत्र! तुम्हारे चरणों में मैं अपने आपको उपहृत करता हूँ।

तुम परम दयालु,गोपाल और कृपानिधी हो,तुम्हारी जपमाला आनंद देने वाली है ।

शांति -लता सुख के मूल को विकसित करे।

English Translation:

16th Tirthankara Shantinatha

Lord Shantinatha! You are pacificatory, Shivdayak (one who shows the path of Moksha) and the root of happiness.

Your sweet heavenly voice which is like ambrosia, is unique and immortal. It diminishes the errors generated by Kashayas.

Lust and Raga - Dvesha give acerbic result, they are like a poisonous creeper and proceed the trance of illusion.

Fantasy is like a witch and Vaitarani (Styx). The human body is a mannequin of infidel and stench.

You made the people to get rid of carving by giving many holy sermons. O Son of the Universe! I am devoting myself in your holy feet.

You are merciful, kind, and feeder of the universe. Chanting of your name gives a great rejoice.

May the creeper of peace nurture the root of happiness.
