JSGD Mask Mandate

Recently, there has been surge in COVID cases in Michigan. While most of our members are vaccinated, we still should be cautious and careful as some of us may still not be. We not only should stay safe but also keep everyone safe. So, we are revising our mask policy in the Temple.
Effective immediately, Mask is required while in the Temple, until further notice.
In case you observe anyone not wearing the mask, please gently remind the person.
Please cover your mouth and nose with cloth face cover/ mask while inside the Temple at all times. If you are running fever or have any COVID symptoms, please refrain from visiting the Temple until the recovery.
JOY Navkar Jaap

JOY wishes all of JSGD a very Happy Diwali and New Year. We hope that everyone is doing well and staying safe as we move out of the pandemic. To start off the Thanksgiving break, JOY would like to extend an invitation to the JSGD community to this year’s annual Navkar Jaap. We hope to pray with you for the turkeys and to express our thanks for our Jain Society. Please join us in this in-person event at the temple.
Last year, JOY was able to conduct the Navkar Jaap virtually. It is one of our most important events every year, and we are happy to be back in-person after two years. The Navkar Jaap is also the only fundraiser for JOY. We will also be serving breakfast prior to the event. In 2019, the event was attended by over 300 society members, and we hope to see you all again this year!
We will be serving breakfast downstairs from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by the Navkar Jaap upstairs. We request your presence from 8:30 AM onwards on Thursday, November 25th for breakfast and Navkar Jaap. The Navkar Jaap will be followed by Shanti, Aarti, and Mangal Divo.
