Kolkata - Mahavir Jayanti Function on 13th & 14th April 2007

In presence of Sadhvishree Nirvanshreeji, on 13th and 14th April 2007 Mahavir Jayanti Function 2007 in Kolkata was held at Ambika Garden.

On 13th April 2007, Sadhvishree addressed the gathering by saying Lord Mahavira was a unique person in the field of spirituality whose life and teachings are relevant even today. She continued, “Accepting his philosophy not only results in a happy life, but also leads to achieve our aim of Moksha”.

Sadhvishree Dr. Yogkshem Prabhaji gave emphasis on Lord Mahavira’s being a pillar of human unity by attempting to remove feudal slave system, which was the curse of humanity at his time.

On 14th April 2007, Samani Sanmati Pragyaji spoke on the life of Lord Mahavira. Young Gyanshala students then presented particular parts of Lord Mahavira's life in a competition. Shri Shailesh Nahata selected the best artists, and Shri Banechand Malu rewarded first, second, third and consolation prices to the young artists.
