The sixth day of the paryushan festival was observed as the jaap (chanting of mantras) diwas. Sadhwi shree Nirwanshreeji, on the occasion of jaap diwas described the importance of jaap(continuous chanting of one or more mantras. She said, continuous chanting of mantras can help a man in creating a layer of safety of his soul. There are specific pronounciations for specific objectives and continous chanting purifies the soul, by making it lighter from evil karmas. The vibrations and echo of sound create favourable atmosphere so as to improve one’s Abhamandal(aura). Some of the mantras provide immediate relief from tension and diseases, where as there are others which have to be practiced according to prescribed discipline to be more effective. In terapanth sect there had been many lay followers who got magical response because of their unending faith in the name of their guru, which acted as a mantra. Sadhwishreeji along with the lay followers practiced chanting of some mantras on the occasion.

In the evening a cultural programme was organized by the south Howrah Terapanthi sabha, in the presence of Sadhvishree Nirwanshreeji, The students and teachers of the Gyanshala did with their collective effort put up a inspiring programme, depicting the importance of spiritual values and.The programme spoke how the effective gyanshala can help in all round development of the kids.
