Vandami Namansami Samanijis,
Please excuse me for the delay in writing this. Ever since I watched the 'Chandanbala' play enacted on 28Nov04, I have been meaning to write to you and congratulate you both and all the related members who were involved in it.
It was truly breathtaking and one could see that the audience found it very captivating. I personally was very impressed by the clear Hindi diction which was so accent-free esp. Chandanbala who had to speak volumes!
Alongwith the above, the sets and costumes were also so pain-stakingly prepared and arranged - which all helped to complete the show.
I certainly hope if the play is repeated in the future - people who missed it this time will get the chance to see it then! I have been praising it to whomsoever I meet.
With sincere regards,

Respected Pratibha Pragya Samaniji
Although I had conveyed my appreciation to you, Shri Manekji Choraria, Pushpaji Banthia, Manjuji Sethia and other prominent members of Jain Vishva Bharati (JVB) and some of the artists for staging a superb play ' Chandanbala' on 28th November 2004 at Hatchend High School. I still felt it appropriate to put some of my thoughts in writing
It would not be incorrect, if I say that 'Chandanbala' was one of the best plays my wife Usha and I have watched for quite some time. Watching 'Chandanbal' was an absolute delight. It is a difficult task to adapt and dramatise a religious happening directly associated with the revival of Jainism more than 2500 years ago. But this was done very effectively and successfully. The production and acting both were impressive. The audience were completely absorbed in the performance.
No one can forget that all artists were amateurs but their acting was very close to professional standard. Those artists who played the role of 'Chandanbala' and 'Mula' looked very genuine. All artists deserve our heartist congratulations for their dedicated and hard work in making the drama a great success. This one event in the life of 'Jain Vishva Bharati' London has laid a very sound and strong foundation for many more successes in years to come.
JVB could not have achieved this success without your guidance, encouragement and inspiration
With respectful regards to you and Punya Pragyaji.

Jai Jinendra!
I came to see the Play together with other friends and I can't resist to give feedback, considering it was the first Play you had done at such a scale.
I must start by CONGRATULATING all the people involved in making this play so successful. We were sitting in the balcony and I audio taped the whole play. If you want to borrow it to hear the sound effects, you are welcome.
Wishing you all Good Luck in the Prabhawana of Jainism.
Well Wisher,

Dear Samani Pratibhaji and Punyapragyaji and JVB Women’s Wing,
Vandami Namanswami.
The performance of Chandanbala last night was a landmark achievement for the history of the Jain community in the UK. It had such spirit, colour, vitality and vibrancy, and was conducted in such a smooth and efficient way that we have no words to compliment you. The audience was watching every moment, completely mesmerised, with some even in tears. I really felt that the Womens Wing of JVB really lifted London and Jainism in London to a new height. Please convey our hearty congratulations to all the volunteers and actors. It was united in spirit, and the audience truly felt united about Jainism as a result. This was a historic experience. To me, the event also demonstrated that women in the Jain community should be more empowered and encouraged and supported to come forward and even lead organisations. They are the modern day Chandanbalas, and we need to celebrate this fact. I do hope that the play is repeated again so that more can benefit, and we will help publicise it.
You raised all our spirits. Thank you.
Best wishes,
Atul
