Jain Vishva Bharati London (JVBL) was privileged to host a series of lectures and workshops by Shree Rameshji Jain in the presence of Samani Prasanna Pragya & Samani Rohit Pragyaji at its London centre from 19th to 22nd September 2008. Shree Rameshji was on his way to USA and at the request of JVBL agreed to stop over in London.

A successful industrialist who lost all interest in material world, Rameshji changed the direction of his life from a rat race to a path of spiritual quest. He is based in Hyderabad, India from where he runs his Centre for Spiritual Evolution and Joyful Living. He firmly believes that human beings possess enormous energy/power but unfortunately very few know how to tap into this incredible reservoir. As a result of narrow outlook, mankind has become entangled in a web of ignorance.

In a lecture on 19 September entitled ‘Invoke your potential powers and achieve yourgoals’ Shree Rameshji Jain stated that human beings have the capacity to expand consciousness to go beyond the limitations of physical body and mental contraction. He cited examples of our lack of knowledge of positive affirmations, power of visualisation, technique of neutralising negativity, etc as factors hindering our progress.

On the morning of 20 September, a special workshop, ‘Secrets of Success’was held for youths where he evaluated major factors determining success. About 20 youths participated in this session. According to Shree Rameshji the factors, which determine success, are:

  • Analysis of strengths and weaknesses
  • Conversion of weaknesses into strengths
  • Overcoming restrictive thinking
  • Conversion of goals into vision
  • Invoking potential powers to:
    • Improve concentration
    • Perform well in education
    • Improve memory power
    • Improve retrieval from memory
  • Mind control through meditation

On the same day in the afternoon, Shree Rameshji Jain conducted a four-hour workshop on ‘Cleanse negativity from your inner-self and rediscover the potential power withinyou’. People from various backgrounds and age group participated. Rameshji stated that through a seven-step process, people could take complete charge of their lives. These are:

  • Science of cause and effect
  • Avoiding negativity
  • Encouraging positivism
  • Positive visualisation
  • Positive affirmations
  • Relaxation
  • Meditation

On the afternoon of 22 September, Rameshji delivered a lecture on ‘How to enjoy oldage’. Samani Prasanna Pragya also gave her views on the topic under discussion. The final lecture on ‘Harmony between body, mind and soul’was delivered in the evening. The lecturer emphasised the importance of practicing yoga and meditation on a regular basis.

All the lectures and workshops were presented with power point and animated visual graphics. Each workshop was attended by an average of about 25 people. On the concluding day Shree Manickji Chorariya, Secretary of JVBL presented Shree Rameshji Jain with a token of appreciation in the form of a book by His Holiness Acharya Mahapragya. Samani Prasanna Pragya commended on his hard work and the method of teaching. Shree Sobhagbhai Shah proposed a vote of thanks to Shree Rameshji Jain. Shree Rameshji, who was accompanied by his wife Kusumji, expressed his gratitude to the Samanis and JVBL for giving him the opportunity to share his thoughts amongst the audience.
