Samani Nidesika Bhavit Pragya while addressing sabha at Amolak Bhawan on 5th September, 2009, Raipur (C.G.) said that the A student acquires knowledge from teacher. The knowledge obtained from teacher, helps to gain destiny. A scholar has the wealth of knowledge. A person who does not have the wealth of knowledge is foolish and valueless.  For example, whatever height the dust may reach it has no value, but precious stones though found in mud are of great value.  Today students apart from certificates require the degree of serving, politeness and straightforwardness. Most of the students are roaming and striving to get a mere degree or graduation without obtaining knowledge due to which they are not gaining success.

Learning is the key to success.  It is the treasure of life.  If a student wants to progress, he must know the meaning of ‘student’ and have qualities of; simplicity, truthfulness, unity, discipline, enthusiasm, and nationalism.

Simplicity

Simplicity is the foremost element for personality development.  Personality is of two types: internal and external.  A student should live with the version of simple living and high thinking. Be simple internally and externally avoiding deceit, anger, greed, and outside luxuries.  Mahatma Gandhi said, “if you want to become great, then your way of eating, living, and thinking should be simple”.

Truthfulness

Saccham Bhayawam, it means truth is god.  The student should be taught to speak truth from the beginning.  There is neither a great religion nor a great pilgrimage than truth. The great western scholar says “ truth and confidence are the two pillars of this worldly temple, when these two pillars tend to break, then, the temple disappears”.  The eminent scholar Vasaak writes, “truth is a queen whose throne remains in heaven, whose dwelling is in the heart of the God”.  So, by understanding the nature of truth, the students should keep in mind and remember great people like King Harischandra, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, Lord Mahavira, Lord Buddha, Archarya Bhikshu, etc.

Unity

“United we stand, divided we fall.” A student can stand in unity together such as a single straw bound together with other straws becomes a whip, which pacifies even an uncontrollable elephant. So working together in unity produces sound results.

Discipline

The word Anushashan  (discipline) is the essence of life. The word anushasan (discipline) is a combination of five words. Acharya, Jayacharya mottos “nij par shasan, fir anushasan” which means discipline on to self, than on others.” If a student is disciplined then his society is disciplined, and if the society is disciplined then the nation is also disciplined.

Enthusiasm

We should proceed ahead with enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is that fire which acts as a steam in driving the engine of work. Due to enthusiasm even the hardest work is possible. Enthusiasm makes a person important professional like doctor, pilot, astronauts etc. An enthusiastic person keeps the assembly pleasant. The enthusiastic warrior gains victory in the battlefield. To lead life peacefully, the soul of discipline should be kept enthusiastic.

Nationalism

Today’s student are the future pillars of the nation. The future of the nation rests on their shoulders. The lack of patriotism towards motherland is the reason for increased violence. Therefore, each and every student should develop the feelings of patriotism.

Tolerance

The builder of the Hindi alphabets has placed the alphabets “ha” after the three alphabets “sh, sh, s.” The secret behind this is “saho” in Hindi which means tolerance. Tolerance is the great ornament in the building of life. This line unites every student together.
