After the celebration of the great festival of Paryushana, we are now preparing for the celebration of the festival of Deepavali. Deepavali is an Indian festival and celebrated by Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs as well as Jains. In Jain tradition Deepavali is one of the great festivals known as Mahavir Nirvana Divas as Lord Mahavir attained liberation on that day.

To know how to celebrate this festival in the Jain way, JVB London presents special programmes on forthcoming Sundays (in November) in presence of
Samanijis.

Sunday, 11 October:

  • 10:30 - 11:30am
Jain way to do Deepavali Pujan
How to celebrate Deepavali - A Jain perspective

Sunday, 18 October:

  • 10:30 - 11:30am
Deepavali: A festival of lights. Presentation of an interesting skit by Gyanshala students: “Mahavir is my Hero”

  • 8:00pm - 1:00am
Illuminate your inner light through continuous chanting of Bhagwan Mahavir and Gautam Swami
