Ladnun - Jain Vishva Bharati - Trip To Spirituality [24] 3rd IPMC - 19.00 Anupreksha

Published: 21.01.2005
Updated: 15.02.2008

Muni Dharmesh Kumar opposed Anupreksha to Preksha Meditation, the first being a concentration of perception, whereas Anupreksha is a concentration of thought.

In Anupreksha autosuggestion and contemplation are applied for change of personality.

Anupreksha consists of four components as a result of introspection:

  • Concentration on the wanted aim
  • Verbalisation thereof (e.g. I want to acquire the power of tolerance)
  • Recitation thereof in a loud voice
  • Recitation thereof in the mind

When practised continuously for about six weeks, the aimed transformation is possible.

The session was concluded after practising Anupreksha together.
