Pudgal jada chit chetana, Dono bhinna swabhav. Sva-svami sambhandhan hai, Murccha ka anubhava.
Matter is unconscious and contrary to it, soul is conscious. Soul has the feeling of mine with the matter only because of attachment. There can be no relationship between the subject and the object.

The Success of Anekanta
If we are able to recognize the thief and the trader hidden within us (where the thief represents stealth and the trader, fair dealings) and if we are able to put the thief to sleep and awaken the trader, then we can successfully bring anekanta to influence our lives. That is why we are engaged in meditation and spiritual practices. Without meditation, the path of anekanta would not be clear. We meditate so that the facts that are not manifest may become explicit, so as to awaken the dormant trader and to express the unseen facts; to put to sleep the thief, to bring about a change in priorities and hide that which is now prominent and make the hidden, prominent. To displace the person seated on a chair and seat him on the ground and to seat the person from the ground, on the chair.
An advertisement said that a company had some vacancies and that interested persons should apply in person. Many aspirants came. The managers asked them what they wanted to become. One of them said, "I want to be a peon". The other said, "I want to be a clerk". "I want to be a supervisor or an engineer", said some others. Everybody was placed in comparable positions. One aspirant remained. He was asked what he wanted to become. He replied that he wanted to be the manager. "I want to sit in that chair of yours, "What a major aspiration! And it was fulfilled, he became the manager.

Under the auspicious guidance of Samani Satya Pragyaji and Samani Rohini Pragyaji, JVB New Jersey celebrated Maryada Mahotsav on Feb 12-14 at the Iselin Center. This celebration was a symbolic representation of the grand Maryada Mahotsav that was celebrated under the auspicious guidance of Acharyashri Mahashraman in Kishanganj, Bihar, India on the same three days. This 3-day Maryada Mahotsav is being celebrated in India annually for over a century, when hundreds of Sadhus, Sadhvis, Samans, Samanis, and Shravaks from all over India and the world, congregate under the leadership of Acharyashri. The festival celebrates and highlights various attributes of the organization such as Seva Ka Sanskar, Sanghiya Shakti - Shravak aur Shravikayen, and Maryada aur Anushashan. Samanijis spoke about the history, importance, and various customs and practices of the Mahotsav. Through the relating of personal experiences and anecdotes, Samanijis discussed how the values celebrated during these 3 days are crucial to the strength and growth of the organization and form the basis for all the work that the organization does in order to spread the message of Bhagwan Mahavir and propagate the Jain way of life. Sessions on all three days were very well received by the attendees.
The second class of the new year under the guidance of Samani Satya Pragyaji and Samani Rohini Pragyaji was quite successful. After our regular prayer session, Samani Rohini Pragya Ji led an introduction activity for our topic of the month, stress management. The task was to imagine you were hiking on a mountain. We had to walk from one side of the room to another, a simple job. The first time, everyone walked to the other side slowly. The next time however, when Samaniji told us to walk faster, there were different paces. To conclude the activity, she explained that there is stress in everything you do. We stressed about whether to slow down, go faster, or go at a normal pace. There are different consequences for every pace. If we go fast, we are worried about getting lost. If we go at a normal pace, we can get stuck in the middle. And, if we go slow, we have to worry about catching up. This activity showed us that stress is in everything we do on a day to day basis, and although we cannot get rid of it, we learnt how to manage it better. Furthermore, Samani Satya Pragya Ji talked about the “how” behind stress management. Stress is needed to reach higher goals and dreams, as it motivates you. Once you accomplish a goal, your old stress will fade, but stress will once again reappear because then we want to achieve an even higher goal.
In our next session, we discussed random acts of kindness. This session was led by Hansraj uncle. When we help others, it makes them feel good, which in turn can lead to a chain reaction of kind deeds. If one person is nice to another, the other person will be inspired to show kindness to someone else. In other words “pay it forward”. There is also a science behind kindness, which we learnt when forming a connection between Charles Darwin, and his theories. To end the session, we read a poem call “Little Drops of Water”.
Both Samanijis taught us a meditation exercise, which I have been trying out. We really appreciate Samanijis and teachers for taking the time to teach us, and we all look forward to the next session eagerly.
Under the guidance of Samani Satya Pragyaji and Samani Rohini Pragyaji, JVB members concluded an incredible, intellectually stimulating, spiritually enriching, and inspiring 15 day journey of Gyata Dharma Katha Agam swadhyay on Feb 28. Samanijis discussed spiritual, philosophical, social, and psychological dimensions of 19 stories of the Agam. All the lectures are available on the following drive through March 2016. Please download and enjoy the spiritual journey.
There are four supreme entities in the universe. The Arihantas are supreme. The Siddhas are supreme. The Sadhus are supreme. The religion explained by the omniscient is supreme.
I take refuge (take shelter/protection) in the four entities of the universe. I take refuge in the Arihantas. I take refuge in the Siddhas. I take refuge in the Sadhus. I take refuge in the religion explained by the omniscient.
