How to Stabilize Our Purpose

To strengthen your purpose you need to take it in to your subconscious level. A seed turns into a tree only if it is deeply rooted in the ground. Similarly, purpose grows if it is assimilated into the subconscious mind. To reach our subconscious mind we need to produce alpha waves. Scientific research has concluded that alpha waves are activated when the mind is in a meditative or relaxed state.

Preksha Meditation connects you with your subconscious mind. This technique involves four steps:

  1. Resolution: “I am practicing meditation to empower the purpose of my life.” Resolution in the beginning is necessary to bring your dream come true.
  2. Relaxation: To generate alpha waves the first requisite is to be free from stress by activating the right hemisphere of the brain. Relaxing each part of the body from toes to head through auto suggestion helps the right brain to produce alpha waves.
  3. Deep Breathing: Concentration is the key to success. Deep breathing helps you to develop focus and remain steadfast on your purpose.
  4. Visualization: Visualize your dream or purpose with closed eyes in your mind with the power of your imagination. The more concentration you have, the more clearly you visualize. The more clearly you visualize the more stable and entrenched your purpose becomes.

This practice of Preksha meditation activates the right brain and assists you in staying focused on your purpose.

Setting goals channels youthful energies. Experiences provide guiding wisdom.

A compelling and meaningful activity is the food on which our soul feeds. The young generation must therefore, consciously discover their strength and passion. Setting personal goals and career goals help channel their energies.

Elderly people must also pursue physical, social and spiritual activities. These three domains operate at the Bio-chemical level. They increase the rate of generation of neurons. They preserve and protect the body's cells. An elderly person's diary, therefore, should be filled with activities including physical exercise, playing with children, meeting friends and relatives, visiting new places, reading books and listening to spiritual discourses.

We have to keep in mind that a sense of productivity can only sustain this life.

A person who is setting goals in life proves to the world that he or she is living a purposeful life. That person is also proving that he or she is capable of achieving goals. He is an embodiment of belief and determination.

N- Navigate and walk on the path of spirituality.

O- Open the door wide when opportunity knocks.

P- Practice patience. Promote peace.

S- Spread the message and fragrance of humanity.

T- Think about why are you here on earth.

U- Use your energy for good causes.

V- Visualize your dreams and stretch to reach for them.

X- X-ray your motives on a regular basis.

Y- Yield to your life's purpose.

Z- Zoom in on the real purpose of your life.
