५०. मोटका ने खिम्या करणी दोहिली, कृपण नें दोहिलो दान I
भर जोवन में शील दोहिलो, कायर नें दोरो चारित निधान II
It is very difficult for the powerful to forgive, for the miser to practise charity, for the optimally youthful to be chaste and for the coward to restrain himself.

Unhappy Acon of Time Cycle
५१. वैराग घट्यो ने भेष बधियो, हाथ्यांरो भार गधा लदियो I
थक गया बोज दियो रालो, एवहा भेषधारी पांच में कालो II
In modern times asceticism has decreased and hypocrisy has increased. The load carried by an elephant has been loaded on asses. Being tired the asses have thrown away the load. The same is true of hypocrites during 'unhappy' aeon of time-cycle, which is the fifth one of the present descending half of the cosmic time cycle.

५२. जीव नें जीव मारें छें तिण सूं, बंध जाएं तिण सूं धेष वशेख I
ते परभव में उ आय मिलें तो, देखत पाणं जागे तिण सूं धेष II
When one living being kills another living being, they get related to each other by malice. When the latter meets the former in the next life, at once malice is roused.

५३. तिणनें राजा खोसे के घरे गिले, तसकर लगे के लाय I
कृपण नें कापुरुष री खाटवां, माल मस्करां खाय II
Wealth is not stable. The ruler appropriates it forcibly. Lying at home it is consumed. The thief steals it and sometimes fire destroys it. Misers and contemptible people earn it with great difficulty only to be enjoyed by someone else.
५४. घर मे धन पिण दलद्री, जिके न देवे दान I
भारभूत धन तेहनों, कोरो करे गुमांन II
That person is truly pitiable and poor who refuses to practise charity despite being wealthy. His wealth is a burden and is meant only to boost his ego.
५५. प्रेम घटरण सजना रो, दुरगत नो दातार I
अणचिंतव्या अनर्थ करें, धन ने पडो धिकार II
Cursed be the wealth which weakens the bond of love among Kinsmen, puts life on the road to degeneration and brings about unthinkable calamities.

५६. पहडे सगाने सेण, पहडे संचियो धन हाथ रो I
बंधव त्रिया नें पूत, नहिं पहडे धर्म जगनाथ रो II
Even the near and dear ones part company in adversity; so do one's earned money, brother, wife and son, but divine religion does not.

५७. आ तो नारी लाज करें घणी न देखाले मुख नें आंख I
पिण गाल्यां गावण ने उसरी, जांणे कपड़ा दीधा न्हांख II
A woman is very shy. She uses the veil so that her face and eyes may not be visible. But on the contrary when her son-in-law visits the house, she becomes shameless by singing the songs of hurling abuses.

५८. निरजरा ने निरजरा री करणी, ए दोनूंइ जीव नें आदरणी II
Self-purification and its process both deserve respect.

५९. सल काढे़ सुध हुआं तिण सूं, सीझें आतम कांमो I
He who can regain health by taking out the thorn and its splinters achieves spiritual success.

६०. काच तणा देखी मिणकला, अणसमझा हो जांणे रतन अमोल I
ते निजर पड्यो सराफ री, सर दीघो हो त्यांरो कोड्यां मोल II
A person, with no ability to distinguish precious stones, saw the glass beads of a rosary and thought that they were invaluable gems. In the eyes of a jeweller the same beads are worthless.

६१. पाप अठारें अति बूरा, परिग्रह माहा विकराल I
पीत मित्राई ना गिणें, सब गुण देवे बाल II
All the eighteen sinful actions are very bad. Possession or the possessive mentality is much worse. Love and friendship lose their meaning and all good qualities get destroyed when one is seized with that mentality.

६२. पेंला रों लगायों तो पाप न लागें, आपरो लगायों पापज लागे I
No one can make a person sinful. He himself is responsible for his sinful deeds.
