This year JSGD is celebrating Paryushan Maha Parva from September 12, 2023 through September 19, 2023.

Paryushan 2023 Maha Parva details

• Our society is fortunate to have Nirmal Sagarji during the Paryushan (9/12 through 9/19/2023). Members are requested to participate in this once-a-year auspicious event for lectures and bhakti.We have planned for morning lectures, covering various interesting topics on Jainism and 18 Paapstanak for the evening lectures.

• Children Prabhavana is on Fri, September 15 2023 evening between 8.30 to 10 pm. Please contact Hemesh Shah @ (248) 755-9924, if you want to sponsor Prabhavana.
• Please RSVP by September 14, 2023 to help us prepare the food on Saturday, September 16 2023 for Swapna Darshan Day. Also, please note that the same Swamivatsalya food will be served for Ekasana on this day.
• Tapasvi Bahuman is on Monday, September 18 2023
• Sakal Sangh Parna is on Wednesday, September 20 2023. Windsor Parna Group has the laabh for Paryushan 2023 Sakal Sangh Parna

1. Please provide your name and the days you will be doing Ekasana on the bulletin board at least 1 day in advance.
2. All seniors attending the morning program at the temple during Paryushan are requested to take lunch at the temple. It is a humble request to everyone coming for Ekasana to signup prior in order for the Ekasana food team to get correct head count and serve everyone better.
3. Please do not drop empty containers in the kitchen, without first asking Ekasana committee

Swapna Darshan Day Kid Activities

We are excited to present a Kids' Sanskaran event at JSGD, which will be on Saturday, 09/16 from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM on the downstairs Stage. This event is catered to 4 different age groups for all of our study class students:

Age Group-1 : 3 to 4 yrs (accompanied parent is required)
Age Group-2 : 5 to 7 yrs
Age Group-3 : 8 to 10 yrs
Age Group-4: 11 to 13 yrs

Please come and join us to learn about the Basics of Jainism through fun games and Hands-on Learning of Gahulis Creation during our upcoming auspicious Paryushan Mahaparva!

Paryushan Tiffin Service Initiative

Once again this year, Jain Alert Group of Michigan with the support of JSGD Sangh is planning to provide tiffins during all 8 days of Paryushan! We will be packing food made by the JSGD Paryushan Ekasana team and delivering it. Due to logistical limitations, we will only be able to provide tiffins to those living/working in Ann Arbor and Dearborn. If you would like tiffins on any of the 8 days, please sign up on the form below. A few guidelines to keep in mind:

1. We will be dropping tiffins off to a central location near you, not necessarily directly to you. This means that you might have to pick up your tiffin from somewhere other than your apartment.
2. If you fail to pick up your tiffin on any given day, we will cancel your tiffin for all remaining days. Leaving food overnight makes it vaasi and we cannot allow that especially during Paryushan.
3. If you feel you won't be able to pick up on a specific day even though you signed up, let us know latest by the night before.
4. If you have any other restrictions, please let us know and we will try to accommodate them.
5. By filling out this form, you are committing to being responsive to messages and questions. If you sign up but do not reply to our messages of confirmation, we will cancel your order.

Paryushan Youth Pratikraman

This year, we are excited to announce special Youth Pratikraman which will be held all 8 days of Paryushan. This Pratikraman is for children 8+, college students and young professionals. Youth will learn, in English, about the significance of various parts of the Pratikraman as well as about the importance of Jain Dharma and Paryushan in general. The timings and location are as follows:
Days 1-7: 6PM-8PM EST
Day 8 (Samvatsari): 5:30PM-8PM EST

Das Lakshan Mahaparva 2023

This year JSGD is celebrating Das Lakshan Maha Parva from Sept 19, 2023 through September 28, 2023. This is a festival of self-introspection, self-enlightenment, and self-achievement. We will have Das Lakshan Puja everyday during these days in morning and Hindi Swadhyay in evening.

We are also pleased to announce that we will be celebrating "Kshamavani Day" on Sunday, October 1st 2023. We are going to do Kshamavani Pujan @ 09:30 AM followed by Swamivatsalya.

ATTN: MANDATORY REGISTRATION FOR ALL NEW AND CURRENT STUDY CLASS STUDENTS

Deadline: September 16, 2023

New study class calendar year will begin in October. In conjunction, Study Class is requesting all current and new students to fill the linked registration form by the above deadline.

- Submit form for each student
- Ensure that you click "Submit" button at the end to confirm transmission
- If you have any issue sending the form, please contact or
- Form submission is required for the student to be assigned a class in October

This will enable study class to:
- Plan class sizes, and classroom space
- Improve communication with parents and students with accurate contact information
