May be you will be surprised to read the heading. But it is fact that most of us don't know how to put the brakes on excessive thinking or unusual thoughts, which are creating the traffic jam for creativity & innovations.

Just think what will happen if you are driving a vehicle with full speed & you don't have brakes. Chances of accident or collision become too high, isn’t it? Same is with our thought process. If thinking process continues in our mind without any purpose or reason and we don't know how to put brakes on it then it will surely results in a collapse of our internal activities, fractured our vision, triggers the tension, will enhance internal pollution and damages our creativity and for all this, there is no laws or committees to punish for creating such a great damages to much valuable intellectual capital. It is only in our hands to make a protecting covering like ozone layer to keep our self mentally & emotionally fit from the harmful ultraviolet radiations of thought explosion.

And all this we can do through Yoga and Preksha Meditation

Yoga and Preksha Meditation provides effective brakes for cyclone of thoughts creating disaster for the mind functioning. They help not only in stopping excessive thoughts but also in eliminating undesirable stored data of our unconscious mind. This provides more space for new thoughts to emerge and to increase our creativeness & intelligence.

Few experiments from box of diamonds, which are useful for this, are as under:

  1. Ignorance
The best way to show exit gate the thoughts garbage is to ignore it. Not all thoughts are useful that we come across. Hence try to ignore those, which are of no use. God has given us two ears to use one as inlet & other as outlet. There is a smart rule in Computer language - “GIGO”. It means Garbage In - Garbage Out. So start its application now before any virus hidden in garbage attacks your emotional & mental software system.
  2. Pressing the tongue
Slightly press the tip of tongue between the teeth. The sensation so produce will divert the attention towards tongue. The tip of the tongue is called "Brahma Kendra" in Preksha Dhyan. It has the controlling power.
  3. Khechari Mudra
Touch the tongue to the upper palate (talu) of mouth.
  4. Vocal cord's Kyotsarg
Concentrate on the vocal cord position (centre of the throat i.e. Kanth). Suggest him to be relaxed. The vocal cord position is the birthplace of all thoughts. If we can make it relaxed, the speed of thoughts will be slow down.
  5. Bhastrika Pranayam with bhavna
Bhastrika Pranayam is the process of exhaling the air fastly. Whole concentration is kept on air going out of body with regularly suggesting the mind that excessive, negative thoughts are moving out, with the air.
  6. Long breathing meditation
In this, concentration is kept on each and every movement of air we are inhaling, exhaling & stopping (pausing) inside and outside the body. Breathing is done rhythmically i.e. slow, along and with time duration. The long & slow breathing does not provide fuel to thoughts & hence their working intensity decreases.
  7. Anulom-Vilom Pranayam with Blue Colour and Bhavana
Start inhaling from left nostril keeping the right one closed.
Then pause air for 2 - 3 seconds inside and then exhale through right nostril.
Pause intake for 2 - 3 seconds outside.
While doing this process, continue imagine that the air we inhaling or exhaling is of blue colour. Also think while exhaling that excess thoughts are going out of mind. Feel deeply the whole process. May be, in initial stage, you are unable to feel the air or see the colour but continue it for 4 - 5 days. You will be seeing & feeling the same & even will find that brakes have started working.
  8. Mantra
Mantra therapy is very effective in purifying our Aura (Abhamandal). If properly done, it shows extraordinary results. Mantra to conquer excessive thoughts is - “OM SHOM SHOM”. Do it for 5 minutes daily.
  9. Vichar Preksha
It means to see the thoughts. Something sounds different how we can see the immortal thoughts. But we can see it & when we will start practice of watching our own thoughts, they will be stopped. Sit in a silent atmosphere, close your eyes softly and simply concentrate on the thoughts that are blowing in the mind. When you will practice for 2 min., you will find that the speed of thoughts has been converted into speed of tortoise.

Much more valuables are stored in our AGAMS for transforming the personality. What is required is to understand it & bring into practical approach. It is just a flash of light.
