Purvottarasana

Position:

Sit upright with legs stretched out. Process: Inhaling, raise the body with support on the palms and heels, exhaling return to the original position.



Time:

This āsana is the reverse asana of paschimottanasana. It should be performed half as long as you perform paschimottanasana.

Benefits:

This posture strengthens the heart and lungs. It is helpful for high blood pressure, back pain and body stiffness.
