Shashankasana (Rabbit pose)
Shashank means rabbit, which is a very peaceful and soft creature. The shape of this āsana is like a rabbit. Another meaning of the word is moon; the posture provides coolness like a moon, subsiding anger.
Position:
Sit in vajrasana on your toes. Rest hands on thighs.
Process:
While inhaling, raise hands over the head towards the sky. While exhaling, bend forward touching the hands and forehead to the floor. Retain this position. Breathe normally. Repeat.
Time:
One Minute to three minutes.
Benefits:
This posture makes high blood pressure normal. It calms anger and maintains peace. It strengthens the muscles of the legs, thighs, and spine.
