The classes will be conducted by Dr. Samani Satya Pragya ji and Dr. Samani Rohini Pragya ji, disciples of Acharyashri Mahashraman. Samani Satya Pragyaji holds a PhD in Philosophy and is an associate professor at the Jain Vishwa Bharati Institute (JVBI), Ladnun in the department of Nonviolence & Peace. Samani Rohini Pragyaji also holds a PhD in Philosophy and is an assistant professor at JVBI in the same department. Both Samanijis are extremely learned, extensively traveled, and well published. They are great orators and have years of teaching experience.

Jainism 101 is designed to be conducted over a year to cover 4 main segments in 4 quarters of 2016 –

Q1 - Jeev 101 - Jan-Mar
Q2 - Ajeev 101 - Apr-Jun
Q3 - Nav Tattva 101 - Jul-Sep
Q4 - Shad Dravya 101 - Oct-Dec

The first quarterly segment Jeev 101 has been well received by participants from the US and India. Apart from heartfelt thankyous and inspiring feedback, some of the comments included ‘Nice way to join course.’, ‘Very comprehensive learning for me.’ ‘Pretty challenging for beginners. However, I’m enjoying and feel like want to know more and more.’ This is the essence and objective of the Online Classroom Initiative - making the most of Samanijis’ knowledge and guidance to strengthen our understanding of Jain concepts.  
Note - While Jeev 101 is officially coming to an end, interested participants can still enroll to access the course and do self-study.

Ajeev 101 will run for 13 weeks from April 1 to June 30, 2016.  Some of the topics covered will include pudgal, karma, sangya, sansthan etc along with monthly quizzes and end of segment assessment. This course will be conducted online in self- study mode using audio-video technology. Relevant materials will also be provided. Participants will get chance to have their doubts cleared by Samanijis and interact with fellow students on the learning portal.

Classes are open to interested participants of any age and any location.

Note - participants already registered for all 4 segments will be automatically enrolled to Ajeev 101.
