JVB London - Welcome Evening For Samanis Amit Pragya & Vishad Pragya, Swami Dharmanandaji & Nirmalaji and Dr Manchanda

On the evening of Monday 21st May 2007 about 75 people had gathered at JVB Centre in London to welcome Samani Amit Pragya & Samani Vishad Pragya as well as Swami Dharmanandaji & Nirmalaji and Dr Manchanda.

After the recitation of Namashkar Mahamantra by the Samanijis, Shree Manick Choraria, Chairman of JVB London welcomed the guests and the audience.


Samani Manan Pragya recited a poem in her melodious voice welcoming the Samanijis. Samani Amit Pragya and Samani Vishad Pragya read the messages they brought with them from Acharya Mahapragya and Yuvacharya respectively.

Acharya Mahapragya had sent his blessings and he appreciated the range of activities undertaken by the Samanijis at the London Centre. He further stated that knowledge should be spread not only to the people of Indian origin but also to the Europeans and others as well, irrespective of their nationality or religion. All should reap the benefit of this ancient wisdom.

Samani Prasanna Pragya stated that they owe a debt of gratitude to Achryashree for sending two more Samanijis to assist them in spreading the message of Jainism in London and other cities of United Kingdom. She welcomed Swami Dharmanandaji and Dr. Manchanda and gave their introductions.

Swami Dharmanandaji is a practioner of Preksha Meditation for over 45 years and runs various activities based on Preksha Dhyan and Anuvratas at Adhyatama Sadhana Kendra at Delhi. He is also involved in organising workshops and camps throughout India. This is his 3rd European tour in recent years. Swamiji is accompanied and assisted by his wife Nirmalaji.

Dr. Manchanda, a renowned cardiologist, formerly Professor and head of Cardiology Department of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, is head of a team of doctors who are doing research on how Preksha Meditation has succeeded in reversing of heart disease. He is also accompanied by his wife Dr. Damini Manchanda.

Samaniji Prasanna Pragya thanked Swami Dharmanandaji and Dr Manchanda for accepting the cordial invitation to participate in a “3 day Preksha Meditation Workshop” at London. Swamiji has also kindly agreed to stay a little longer and give talks at various organisations in major cities of Europe.

Swami Dharmanandaji briefed on various activities based on Preksha Dhyan and Anuvratas at the Delhi Centre.

Dr Manchanda talked about heart disease and gave data on how Preksha Meditation has helped patients with heart disease. He also stated that according to WHO the heart disease is on the increase not only in India but also with the Indians residing abroad.

Finally, Shree Pravinbhai Mehta paid warm tributes to Samanijis and appreciated their guidance and services.
