Arhat Vandana - Process
- Sit in the diamond posture or vajrāsana (see opposite page).
- Keep your neck and back steady, relaxed and free from tension.
- Join your hands together and cover your mouth with a muhapatti, handkerchief or your hand.
- Gently close your eyes.
- Sing Arhat Vandanā with correct pronunciation and full concentration, contemplating on the meaning of each and every verse.
- After completing Arhat Vandanā spend a few minutes in meditation contemplating on the attributes of the Arhat.
Notes:
- There are no restrictions regarding clothes. Please wear whatever is comfortable.
- There are no restrictions on where Arhat Vandanā can be performed, although ideally it should be in a clean and quiet place.
- This book is a prayer book and hence should be treated with respect, and kept in an appropriate place.
