Sadhvi Kanakshri ji arrived in South Howrah Terapanth Sabha Bhawan on 28th February 2011 with hundreds of lay followers Shrawaks and Shrawikas in the form of a disciplined procession, which started from Sethia House in Central Kolkata. Hundreds of lay followers from South Howrah area reached sethia House early in the morning to receive and follow Sadhvishri ji and fellow. Sadhvis are among the procession. Many lay followers from Kolkata also joined the procession and many accompanied the same upto South Howrah. The lay followers were speaking slogans on the Anuvrat Code and other approved slogans of Terapanth. Female members representing Mahila Mandal were in their orange saree uniform whereas many of the gents were in white uniform. The procession began from Sethia House and moved through Vivekananda Road, K.K. Tag ore street, Strand road, Howrah Bridge, Bankim Setu, Howrah Maidan, G.T.Road (South) and finally P.K. Banerjee Road and there it merged into the Sabha Bhawan. At Sabha Bhawan Sadhvi Shri ji addressed the gathering and asked them to continue with the good work and take maximum advantage of their stay of over a month at South Howrah. In the morning discourse Sadhvi shri ji again preached the gathering of living an awakened life so as to use the human life through religious chores to get nearer to the liberation of soul. Every moment of the life is a precious jewel and it should not be wasted in gossips and laziness.
Shri Jawarilal Nahata, president of South Howrah Sabha welcomed Sadhvi Kanakshri ji and fellow Sadhvi at South Howrah and appealed to the residents of area to participate in the month long programme and discourses in pious presence of Sadhvi Shri. Upashak Malchand Bhansali, Secretary of the Sabha compered the programme in various areas of South Howrah. The residents of South Howrah were delighted to learn that this year Holi Choumasi will be celebrated in pious presence of Sadhvi Shri ji at South Howrah.
