Value Education plays an important role in Corporate Governance - Pradeep Jain

Minister of State, Rural Development, Mr. Pradeep Kumar Jain ‘Aditya’ while addressing 2nd Acharya Mahapragya Memorial Lecture as Chief Guest at PHD House said that Corporate Governance should be valued based. Value education plays an important role in Corporate governance. He also said that the development of human value as the ultimate goal of our education. A value is that which fulfils human desires. A man should live for values of soul, truth and humanity.
Dr. Ved Pratap ‘Vaidik’, Eminent Journalist & Social Activist, also addressed the Memorial Lecture as a Guest of Honor. He said the turbulence is generated by multiple multidimensional forces -- be it the philosophy of life, social milieu, human relations, unbridled scientific progress, hunger for power through or outside the state.
Samani Charitra Pragya, Vice Chancellor, Jain Vishwa Bharti explained in detail about Value Education & Corporate Governance. She said that according to Lord Mahavira, economic development is acceptable if it satisfies three basic postulates: (a) Ahimsa (non violence) and purity of means; (n) non-erosion of moral values; and (c) limits of self-interest. Seen objectively and analytically in their connotations, all the three conditionalities are essential facets of values and ethics of all human activities - economic, business related and others.
Dr. S.C. Jain, Vice Chancellor, Mangalayatan University gave power point presentation on the subject and described the need of value education in corporate governance. Mr. M.C. Singhi, Sr. Adviser, Ministry of Finance, Deptt. Of Economic Affairs, said that “to restore trust, the survey proposes that business must “exercise principles-based leadership instead of rules-based strategy. Business should not go to the edge of what is legally permissible but rather stay focused on what is beneficial both to stakeholders and society.”
Program was commenced to order by invocation performed by Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Mr. Suman Jyoti Khaitan, Sr. Vice President of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mr. K.L. Jain, President, Jain Shwetamber Terapanthi Sabha Delhi welcomed Invitees. Theme presentation was delivered by Smt. Sudhamahi Raghunathan, Former Vice-Chancellor, Jain Vishwa Bharti. Message of HH Acharya Mahasharaman was read out by Sadhvi Shri Rachna Shree. Jatinder Singh, Secretary Education Committee also addressed the audience. Sadhvi Yashomati showered her blessings. Ms. Urmi Goswami and Ms. Sunita Jain were the masters of ceremony. Vote of thanks was given by Shri M.K. Doogar and Shri Sukhraj Sethia.
