Dubai, 26th August 2005

Day 8 of Samani Mangal Prajnaji & Samani Prassana Prajnaji Dubai visit - was their last day in Dubai this trip.

A number of devotees were still requesting Samaniji to visit their homes and accept alms. So after returning from Abu Dhabi, inspite of tight schedule, Samaniji granted the devotees' wishes by visiting their homes - even for few minutes - and accepting alms. Evening programme was arranged at R K Bengani's residence at 2030 PM. After recitation of evening prayers (Arhat Vandana) Samani Prassana Prajnaji said everyone desires for development and success. However, one should know the elements, which are helpful towards development and success and one should also know the elements which hinder development and success. She said, anger, for example was one major hindrance. She said effective restraining / control of emotions helps a lot in a person's development and success in every aspect of life.

Samani Mangalprajnaji started with a beautifully worded poem recital - with wordings to the effect that the one who can understand and feel other's pain can be described as human being // the one who helps others can be described as god // it is possible to make mistakes in life = but the one who repents can be described as human being // naturally, the life is full of problems = the persons who faces the problems bravely can be described as human being.

Samani Mangalprajnaji then commenced her last lecture of this trip. She asked - what removes the darkness and brings illumination?? She answered - earthen lamps, candles, lanterns, powerful lighting systems using electricity, stars, moon and sun - all remove darkness and bring illumination. However, these illuminate only outside world. She said more serious darkness is inside oneself and that is lack of knowledge. She said that was the reason scriptures have described 'knowledge' as real illuminator. She said one should strive to gain knowledge by reading scriptures / religious books; one should not act or do things to others which one would not like to be done to himself. She said for real change repeated contemplation was necessary. After listening to a lecture and / or after reading a book, one must contemplate on the contents. She said that for examples one spends appx. 15/20 minutes in eating a meal but digestion takes may be 3/4 hours and energy building takes even longer.Similarly, one needs to set aside a longer time for contemplation. Then only internal darkness (of lack of knowledge) can be removed and illumination will be reflected in soul.

R K Bengani then expressed appreciation and gratefulness to His Holiness Acharyashri Mahaprajnaji for accepting the request made by Dubai people and sending both Samaniji to Dubai. On behalf of whole congregation, he then conveyed a vote of very sincere and warm hearted thanks to both Samaniji for visiting Dubai and teaching us so many things in such a short period. He wished them good luck not only for their onward journey to Miami, USA - but also for their continuous spiritual development.

Shri M N Shishodia also expressed his appreciation and indebtedness to His Holiness Acharyashri Mahaprajnaji and both Samaniji and requested Samaniji to re-visit Dubai whenever convenient to them - preferably at an early date.

The programme lasted till 10 minutes before Samaniji's departure for airport. A good number of devotees went to airport to see off the Samaniji.
