A Felicitation Programme was organized by the Terapanth Sabha, Kolkata to celebrate ‘one month long fasting’ performed by Smt. Bimla Bothra of Ladnun residing at Liluah upon conclusion of month long Tap Aradhana in the auspicious presence of Sadhvi Kanak Shri a learned devout disciple of Yugpradhan Acharyashree Mahaprajnaji on 26th July 2009. At a large Pragya Samavasaran of Mahasabha Bhawan addressing a big religious gathering Sadhvi Kanak Shri ji told - Tapsya leads to big Karma Nirjara. This evolves inner energies, clearity of heart, power of endurance and good health are also gained as a result. So even in the medical science Upavas Therapy is an accepted format and it has uses in practice. In fact Tap Vidhi of Jain Religion is an Adhyatma Chikitsa Padhyati. In flow of her speech Sadhvishree quoted Acharyashre Mahapragyaji calling Tapyashya to be the Kalpa Vriksha. This is only possible when along with tapyasya there is also Mercy, Peace, Sanyam & Sensitivity.
Denouncing the propensity of pomp and show extended on tapasya, she said this boasting is only the indigestion of extravagance. Similarly, anger is indigestion of Tap & prides that of knowledge. So it is essential to have enough of digestive power to contain Knowledge, Tap & Wealth. Praising the commitment of Tap of Smt. Bimla Bothra she encouraged her to do further tap subject to her potentials.
Sadhvi Madhulata ji while reading Vigyapti called attention of the society upon various teachings of Pujyavar. In her forceful speech emphasizing Chaturmas as opportunity available for multidimentional sadhana aradhana. she commended - raise the label of your chittya chetna. She demanded - there you have to sow the seeds of Samyam, Tap, and Tyag & Tatwagyan. Sadhvi group quenched 1,000 of devotees of the nectar of the song of “Tap Ka Jhula” written by Sadhvishreeji & song in quorus.

Smt. Bimla Bothra took vow of month long fast & the entire Pragya Samavasaran was resonant with the sound of “Om Arham”. Also brother Sri Jugraj Baid a pakshik tap Smt. Rakhi Nahata an eight day long fasting, a young little girl Miss Tripti Surana an eight day long fasting too, took pratyakhyan.
