02.09.2013 - Khadya Sanyam Divas

Day First of Paryushan 2013 programme was celebrated as 'Khadya Sanyam Divas in presence of Samani Madhur Pragyaji at Amolak Bhawan, Sadar Bazar, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Samani Madhur Pragyaji spoke in detail about the 'Food Restraint Day’. The type & amount of food consumed by individual persons vary. Khadya sanyam is a way of intake that advises us to eat less than what your hunger is. Khadya Sanyam also suggests different ways to control food intake, which ranges from complete fasting to limiting the quantity or variety of food. To eat more is an unwelcome invitation to poor health. While consuming the food one should keep in mind the effects of that food on his heart, liver, kidney and mind and should consume only that food which doesn’t cause anger in the body. Right and restrained food intake boosts the production of energy in the body.

03.09.2013: Swadhyay Divas

Second day of Paryushan 2013 programme held at Amolak Bhawan, Sadar Bazar, Raipur, Chhattisgarh in pious presence of Samani Madhur Pragyaji. Samani Madhur Pragyaji said that Swadhyay means Self Education. The word seems simple and we all think gaining self education in all the fields of life; but Swadhyay is something beyond just reading. It is required to understand the deep routed meaning of the thoughts and a clear and decisive vision over it. A man with expanding interest, thinking over a point can know the whole world. The knowledge is very vast and our understanding is very limited, although with the little knowledge only we assume having great knowledge that shows our unacquaintedness about the profundity of knowledge. This day reminds us to gain knowledge with the help of Anupreksha.

04.09.2013: Samayik Divas

Day three of Paryushan 2013 programme was celebrated as 'Samayik Diwas' in presence of Samani Madhur Pragyaji at Amolak Bhawan, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Samani Madhur Pragyaji spoke in detail about the 'Samayik’. Samayik is the Silence to uniformity and concentration to mind. After the samayik, if we try to get answer to following questions, we can know as to how much the Samayik has influenced our life.

How much our hatred has reduced?
How much our anger & passion has reduced?
How much it has influenced our emotions & mind?

By doing Samayik, we get immense and incalculable benefits like peace and concentration of mind. Samayik makes our soul free from Karma dust and leads the soul to infinite and endless happiness of Moksha.
In simplistic terms, Jain Samayik is a resolution to:

Perceive one-self.
Practices of equanimity of mind i.e. remain unaffected from outer positive or negative.
Determine not to indulge in any type of sinful activity at mental, vocal, as well as physical level.
Awakening of one’s consciousness.
Development of positive thinking.
Establish harmony in physical, vocal and mental activity.
