• Developed the plan for promoting bio-fuels in Chhattisgarh province of India. CG is well known internationally for its pioneering efforts in this sector and is recognised as biofuel hub of the country
• Developed a novel project for achieving energy security in a cluster of 24 villages by establishment of integrated facility right from jatropha plantation, harvesting & collection, biofuel production and energy generation using jatropha de-oiled cakes and establishment of energy delivery system with an innovative approach of institutional linkages. The project is well accepted by Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India and is being implemented by NTPC in collaboration with GTZ.
• Promoted five biomass gasification based rural electrification project which is able to meet complete electricity needs of rural population in decentralised manner in the province.
• Developed detailed project report for decentralised biomass based rural electrification of 49 villages across the country.
• Facilitated community mobilisation and capacity building of stakeholders for community driven rural electrification projects in more than 100 villages.
• Developed the first CDM project design document in the region for a grid interactive biomass based power plant. Completed PDDs for ten project activities, carbon funding for three projects are at advance stage.
• Have completed 36 biomass assessment studies for establishment of grid interactive power projects.
• Have developed 26 project report for grid interactive biomass based power plants.
• Assisted promoters for arranging funds for the industry (>40)
• Worked as counsel for Renewable Energy Policy Framing, Fixation of Tariff Plan and other promotional benefits to Biomass Energy Developers in CG
• Facilitated tariff planning for grid interactive solar power generation plants in the province
• Leading the Team for design and development of 30 Village Energy Security Project in Central region of country

I started my career as a freelancer rendering financial consultancy services to private sector in 1993 under the title of “R.S. Jain & Associates”. Being a gold medallist in my bachelor degree course in science and a rank holder in chartered accountancy master degree course, I am blessed with both technical as well as financial skills. I was working in multiple sectors during early stage of my career. In 2002 I started full-fledged consultancy in renewable energy sector in the name & style of “S.R. Corporate Consultant Private Limited”. Since then I am heading the organisation.
