Economics Of Mahavira: [03.22] Economics of Non-violence and Peace - Contradictory Policies

Published: 01.02.2006

It is both paradoxical and surprising about today's diplomacy that, on the one hand, a nation is talking about treaties and agreements and, on the other, the same nation is supplying weapons to the parties engaged in fighting each other.

A country is the mediator of peace and also provides encouragement to arms race by supplying weapons. This dual policy itself is the mother of violence and unrest.
