Acharya Tulsi - A Peacemaker Par Excellence: Acharya of Terapanth

The heavy responsibility of the august office of Acharyaship which even many experienced monks were not considered capable of shouldering devolved on the tiny shoulders of the young monk, Tulsi. If I were to describe it in the language of reverence, I would say that it was the foresightedness of the venerable Kalugani. In reality it was the need for a new way of life in a new age. If someone unaware of the mood of the age had become the Acharya, Terapanth would not have reached the height of glory where it finds itself today. Our tradition shows that we get the Acharya we need at a particular time. The new age was in need of an Acharya who could influence the thinking of the age.
