Jain Vishva Bharati Ladnun

Gandhi Vidya Mandir had already been established at Sardarshahar by the devoted Shravak Seth Summermal ji's sons. Once Bhanwarlal ji Dugar was sitting beside Acharya Tulsi. In the course of an exchange of views Acharyashree said, "Jainism has done a great service to us. It has shown us the path of self-realization. Have we done anything for its development?" It set Bhanwarlalji Dugar thinking. He felt inspired to do something and presented a plan of the proposed Jain Vishva Bharati for consideration. It took the plan a long time to materialize. The dream came true in 1971 when Jain Vishva Bharati came into existence formally. It is situated in a sprawling area at Ladnun and is making great strides. A huge complex consisting of several buildings has come up. It houses the departments of education, sadhana, research, service and culture. It has already emerged as a pioneering centre of work on Jain encyclopaedia, Agama lexicon, editing Agamas, Preksha Dhyan and Jivan Vigyan. Efforts are on to make it a deemed university.
