Published: 12.09.2018

Education and development of character cannot be isolated as two separate streams of human endeavour. If the ultimate goal of education is divested of development of character and enhancement of values pertaining to it is the bounden duty of all those who are associated with education to fulfil this badly needed requirement. In addition to his intellectual development, the student should also become receptive to simultaneous inculcation of discipline, tolerance, honesty, responsibility, broadening of his view point and intensive as well as creative thoughtfulness in himself. But this is ignored now days. JEEVAN VIGYAN has been conceptualized to eradicate this shortcoming in the existing conventional educational system. The concept of JEEVAN VIGYAN has been subjected to intense experimentation which has attracted the attention of Educationists in this regard. The text books of JEEVAN VIGYAN have been prepared with a view to impart knowledge pertaining to practical as well as theoretical aspects. This joint venture of Rajasthan Secondary Education Board and Jain Vishva Bharati would open up new vistas benefiting both the present day student and the society of tomorrow.
