According to Jain tradition, gaṇadharas are composers of dvādaśāṅgī. This belief proves that even Sūtrakṛtāṅga is a composition of gaṇadharas.
Up to one thousand years after the salvation of Lord Mahavira āgamas were transferred to the disciples, who took efforts to imbibe them through oral-learning tradition. Then Devardhigani penned them down for the first time. Hence, from this point of view, authorship of current āgamas can be considered to be that of Devardhigani. The first śrutaskandha is the most ancient and the second śrutaskandha was appended later as an appendix.[1] This text is important from the point of view of 'conduct' and 'metaphysical explanation' of philosophy.
