A Request to Lead the Spiritual World

There was an instance when Acharya J. B. Kripalini and Shree Haribhau Upadhyaya went to meet Acharya Tulsi. They put forth a serious and groundbreaking proposal for his consideration.

"Spirituality today is in need of a voice that can speak to ills and current needs of society", they began. "You are a leader and a unifying force of spirituality throughout the country. Only you can fulfill the urgent need to guide the common householder. As a result of this mission, spirituality will spread throughout our country and beyond. For this, you will have to cross the boundary of your present association as the spiritual leader of the Jains. Please entrust the responsibility of your organization to Muni Nathmal and take the role of leader of the spiritual world, which would be valuable for mankind. Please consider the proposal. This is the right time and there are many who are ready and willing to collaborate with you."

His purity and spirituality inspired millions to seek his guidance.

Later, after many years Acharya Tulsi decided to develop spirituality on a wider scale among human beings and undertake the quest to guide the human race on a spiritual path. With great deliberation, within himself and with others, Acharya Tulsi relinquished the post of Acharya and passed on the responsibility to Yuvacharya Mahapragya (Muni Nathmal).
