Sadhvi Vishrut Vibha
Pandit Sukhlalji was a great scholar of Indian philosophy as well as Jain philosophy. He established a coordinated view point among Indian philosophies. It was his fundamental contribution in this field. He was well-versed in Sanskrit, Prakrit, Pali, Gujarati, Marathi, and English. He also edited a good number of scriptures.
There were times when he would criticize Terapanth. However, he eventually changed his original views. He reviewed the Jain Agamas edited by Acharya Tulsi and Acharya Mahapragya, and commented, "It is only Terapanth which has been doing the work for uplifting humanity."
Dalsukhbhai Malavania was also a renowned scholar of Jain philosophy. In his initial stages of understanding, he was also in opposition to Terapanth. But with the passage of time, he came to know the reality and became a strong supporter.
Once there was a conference at Banaras. Dr. Dayananda Bhargav, a distinguished scholar of philosophy, was among the participants. He presented an article on Jain Agamas. Dr. Malavania accepted that the principles and concepts of Terapanth and whatever Acharya Bhikshu said, was true from the view point of Jain Agamas.
When he found the Dasvaikalika Agama, edited by then Yuvacharya Mahapragya, he was delighted to see the stupendous work. After studying Dasvaikalika, Malvaniya's viewpoint changed completely. Later he came to visit Acharya Tulsi in Delhi and said to him, "There was a time when I was a staunch opponent of your thoughts but the work done by you made me a supporter of Terapanth. You have done a great work for humanity. In the assembly of Tirthankars, each and every person has the right to ascend to this level. Likewise, a person irrespective of caste, color and creed can come to you in order to solve his problems. The most effective characteristic of Terapanth is discipline. Anuvrat, Preksha Meditation and Saman shreni etc. are the methodology used to reach these goals."
It is quite eminent that not only the common man but also the acclaimed scholars were highly impressed by his works.
Akshay Kumar Jain was a renowned literary man, journalist and an efficient orator. He was the chief editor of one of the most popular Hindi newspapers Navabharat Times. This newspaper had a special and significant place in the world of journalism. He was closely connected with the Anuvrat movement. He was also the president of the all India Anuvrat Committee. He had monumental contribution in spreading the message of Anuvrat through his newspaper.
He became a devotee of Acharya Tulsi. He accepted that initially he was ashamed to call himself a Jain. But now, being Jain is a source of pride for him.
He was extremely impressed by the vibrant personality of Acharya Tulsi. Whenever Mr. Akshaya Kumar would have time, he would visit Acharya Tulsi and discuss the current problems of the country.
Acharya Tulsi through his inner power could inspire, convince and motivate the learned man to practice spirituality.
