In the Jain religion, alongside the Guru there is a head of sadhvis to guide and manage their affairs. Terapanth tradition also uses the same system that manages the process of communicating with the big group of sadhvis directly. Following the tradition of his predecessors, Acharya Tulsi appointed three sadhvis as Sadhvi Pramukhas (the head of the sadhvis) one after another during the tenure of his office.
Sadhvi Pramukha Jhamku (1936), Sadhvi Pramukha Ladan (1946) and Sadhvi Pramukha Kanakprabha (1972).
Acharya Shree involved the three Sadhvi Pramukha in day-to-day administration of sadhvi affairs. Sadhvi Pramukha, under the guidance of Acharya also takes care of spiritual practice, education, health, travel matters of sadhvis.
Sadhvi Kanak Prabha was noticed by Acharya Tulsi as having exceptional talents and skills beneficial to the sect. He then focused on developing her inner qualities. After the demise of Sadhvi Pramukha Ladan, Sadhvi Kanakprabha was nominated as sadhvi pramukha, the head of nuns. Under the direction and constant guidance of Acharya Tulsi, she became a good editor, impressive orator, a prolific writer and amazing poetess. She has a deep knowledge of Sanskrit and Prakrit. Sadhvi Pramukha Kanakprabha was unwavering in her devotion to Acharya Tulsi. Thereafter, she worked with Acharya Mahapragya and at present with Acharya Mahashramana with same devotion.
