Dr. Kusum Lunia:

Anuvrat Samiti Delhi celebrated the ANUVRAT CHETNA DIVAS at 4 different centres in the pious presence of Jain saints. Addressing the vast audience at Oswal Bhawan Mantri Muni Shri Sumermalji swami said that ANUVRAT ANDOLAN founded by Acharya Shri Tulsi way back in 1949 is relevant even today and will have its significance even in the centuries to come. It aims at building individual character.

In the words of Muni Udit Kumar ji Anuvrat is the name of an enlightened ideology which is not commited to any community, sect, country or language. It is a code of conduct which inspires all human beings to tread the path of self-restraint. Dr Kusum Lunia, Mantri Anuvrat Samiti, gave a brief description of the 11 vows of Anuvrat and appealed one and all to join the movement by taking a pledge to follow the Anuvrat code of conduct.

Addressing the audience at Adhyatma Sadhna Kendra Mehrauli, Dr. P.C Jain, President Anuvrat Samiti Delhi, emphasized on the importance of self-restraint in the context of Anuvrat. He further added that the main aim of Anuvrat is to help and develop the power of self-protection against the infection of impure conduct which is also the need of today’s youth. Muni Kishanlal ji gave a practical demo of “Preksha meditation” through which ones personality undergoes a total transformation, freeing it from all mental weakness. When that happens, Anuvrat becomes one’s natural way of life.
