Who would have thought to Jainism when talking about the famous Côte d'Azur in the South of France? We don't know. It was our common interest with Pierre Paul Amiel on Jain Dharma that brought us in contact. Since two years we are exchanging mails and greetings. At the end of May we met him personally in Nice and here is one of the very interesting books he has written on the Jains today in the world. All of...

Eric Weiner , renowned US-American journalist and writer ( The Geography of Bliss ) arrived on Friday, 4th December 2009 in the middle of a gloomy day in Berlin. We sensed that we welcome a friend. He came directly from San Francisco. A few days ago, he had given Author’s Talk at the University of California for an audience of 1200 students who enthusiastically had devoured his book and wanted direct...

Dear Reader, HereNow4U.net is online since 15.08.2008 19:00 MET The site is databased and will become faster everyday. Some parts are unfinished e.g. [MEDIA] and others have to be cleaned up [e.g. GLOSSARY]. The move of the content of Edition 2 left some problems in the layout of a lot of articles - some articles lost their author's informations or pictures, etc. So there is still a lot to do in the next weeks...

When I met my friend Savitri after her return from India, she handed over a big role of paper to me saying, “This is what I have brought for you from India.” I enrolled the copy of a special issue of the second-large Indian newspaper in English language “The Hindu” dated 28th February 2008 titled “Auroville - 40 Foundation Day”. On 28th February 1968 the inauguration ceremony of Auroville, the...

The first encounter with Shree Chitrabhanu was at Pratishta Mahotsav at the Potters Bar Oshwal Centre.Editor Karuna Jain was not aware of the fact that Chitrabhanu to whom she was talking was the one the Oshwal community in London had invited to perform the opening and spirit inputting ceremonies. In distance, it was a short, but remarkable walk to the flower garlanded columns at the east side of the temple...

During the authors 2005 visit to London for Pratishtha Mahotsav & Paryushan, she had a closer look on the campus and some facilities. It was a sunny day at the end of August 2005. Bipim Sheth (middle) had completed 13 days of complete fast; at Paryushan 2004 he had fasted already for the whole time of Paryushan. This experience was motivation and encouragement for him, to go even more far this year. His wife Neeta (right) supported him strongly. Fasting is one means to come in close contact with the higher reality of the soul, for it is not only restraint from food, but symbolises the capacity of man alone, to conquer the driving powers of desire. According to Jain philosophy, neither heavenly, nor hellish beings are capable to act out selfcontrol in this way; animals and plants less than ever. Every year for Paryushan, many Jains feel to go to their...

This is as strange as generating copyrights on human genes. Why not chain Mahavira himself under copyright law? There is no limit for the descending into special interests. Let us ask, if JVBI’s Vice-Chancellor Sudhamahi Regunathan actually has an exclusive contract with Acharya Mahaprajna covering all rights on Anekant - The Third Eye as well as for The Quest for Truth (and all other books published by JVBI...

Dr. Ramjee Singh, then vice-chancellor of JVBI, said that the university is only the publisher of Acharyashree’s writings; the author himself is the owner of the rights. When he gives permission, no more permission is needed. His words were, “Acharyashree said so, and this is all you should consider. His words are law here. Do not worry for copyright; this is a spiritual issue and not a material one. But...

With great consternation and regret, we had to take cognisance that we have to stop and remove publication of Acharyashree Mahaprajnaji's beautiful writings in 'HereNow4U', 'Anekant - The Third Eye' , 'Quest For Truth' . JVBI's vice-chancellor Sudhamahi Regunathan announced legal action for infringement of copyright otherwise.

Dear Reader, 2005 is dedicated to the man who brought to us the Special Relativity , on a scientific basis: Albert Einstein . Although TV stations and magazines all over the world pick up the Theory of Special Relativity and present the idea in video clips, stories and illustrations - the idea is still provoking us to rack our brains over it. But we accept the "new world of relativity", step by step, at least...
