What a great time it is to be writing about plant-based issues - the news just keeps on coming.
The last few weeks has a decidedly milky theme. First up, there was a fascinating story about one major dairy company that has seen its profits plummet by a staggering 91 percent recently. It seems like more and more people are turning away cow's milk, and opting for tasty, ethical vegan milks instead.
And the dairy industry is obviously taking heed of how popular plant milk is - that MUST be the reason behind this advert that called cow's milk 'natural' and 'plant-based', right?
Big dairy has more to worry about than just vegans - according to this report, by 2021, vegan milk alternatives will represent 40 percent of the combined total of dairy and dairy alternative beverage market - and flexitarians are partly responsible for boosting that number.
