CPR Class - December 15
Free CPR class at JCSC for anyone interested. Please pass this on, it may help to save a life.
Be prepared and learn the skills that may make a difference to someone, especially a loved one, in need. Jain Center is offering a free CPR class, limited to the first 50 people who sign up. This will be Classroom training with an instructor. Come join the class to learn how to respond in an event of an emergency or to refresh your skills.

TCCOP Food Drive
TCCOP will have a FOOD Drive on Sunday, December 16, 2018Giving Children Hope Foundation provides weekly food bag-pack to 1600 students and helps neighborhood family with necessary nutritious food supply. This HOLIDAY season their pantry is unusually empty so we are taking a challenge to provide a few vegetarian items. Please forward this email to your friends and family.
If you are coming to Derasar you can bring items. If not, you can still donate (call us or reach out to one of the TCCOP Volunteers) We will be buying them in bulk. Our goal is to reach 1000+ items.

MJK Cultural Program will be celebrated at the Jain Center of Southern California on Sunday, April 21st, 2019. Deadline to submit/register for participation is Sunday, December 16th, 2018. Registration is open to all Pathshala students by email only to the contact below. Deadline For ACC Directors' Nominations - Dec 17, 2018
This is to inform all members of JCSC that ACC is seeking nominations for replacement of two outgoing directors of the Anekant Community Center(ACC)
Anekant Community Center (ACC) was formed in 2005, and was registered under 501(c)(3), as a non-religious/ non-profit organization. It is served by nine Board of Directors.
The goals of ACC are:
1. To foster, promote and support Health, Education, Cultural and Community awareness.
2. To educate and assist Seniors to improve their quality of life.
3. To teach, commemorate and celebrate cultural activities.
4. To perform a variety of community outreach programs.
ACC is looking to replace two outgoing directors(Ramesh Shah and Bharat Parekh). Please review the following four attachments, and if you are interested to serve on ACC board for at least two years(2019 and 2020), then please fill out the nomination form and send it to by email. As shown on the Nomination form,there are 3 people in the nomination committee, feel free to contact anyone for any questions or clarifications. According to the English calendar, this year it falls on the 19th of December, 2018.
On this day 50 Kalyanaks in all the kshetras for the past, present, and future Chauvishi gives us 150 Kalyanaks to celebrate.

With great joy and pride, it our pleasure to announce that with blessings of the Tirthankar bhagvans and Gurus, well wishes and positively charged vibrations of Ayambil and Jaap by community members, Jain Center of Los Angeles has acquired the permit to start the construction of Shree Shankheshwar Parshvanath Prabhu Jinalay and community center for all to advance in their spiritual journey.
It is our humble appeal to the community members to continue and join the Sankli Ayambil chain so that the Jinalay Pratishtha happens in the shortest possible time. We have just seen that our prayers have already been greatly rewarded and we are determined to continue the Jaap and Sankli ayambil till the day of Pratistha. We are very fortunate to be a host city for JAINA 2019 and we would like to put up a great cultural show with the talent our center has. So thank you for registering for JAINA Cultural program. We have scheduled our final and last audition/group formation on JAN 13 2019 from 10 to 2 PM at Jain Center. people who had come for first audition do not need to come for second audition. We have talents from classical to hip hop and traditional to modern dance form and this is a chance to showcase our talent to the world. So please come and together let us make one of a kind show for people to remember and for us to build lifelong friendships and cherished memories.
