Knowing the posture:

It is important to get training on how to sit for meditation. What posture is the best? What should the position of the finger be? Although position of fingers in meditation may sound trivial, but rest assured it is very important.

The correct hands posture is when the left hand is under the right hand and the fingers are facing the sky. This is veetaraag mudra and another may be gyan mudra. We should know that if the fingers are facing towards the floor it will drain the energy because the fingers in that posture become a source for draining energy.

Therefore, the fingers should be facing up and not hanging down. If we do kayotsarg in a standing position and our hands are hanging freely without touching the body or knees then there will be a big loss of energy. Conversely, if the hands are touching the body there will be no loss of energy. The practice without understanding these tips can make the practitioner insane. Therefore, the training of these small issues is essential for meditation.
