As many of you know, there was a march on 01/13/2007 in Houston to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday. Council member Ada Edwards described it a grand success, with participation by thousand. JVB Houston, under Samaniji's leadership, participated in the march. Samaniji's speech was heard by thousands, and was covered by Local News Channel-2, and Houston Chronicle newspaper. Voices of hope resonate at silent MLK march
'We Are the Dream' procession draws participants of all ages, races

Practicing nonviolenceSamani Sanmati Pragya, who is from India, participated in the march with several others from the Jain Vishwa Bharti Mediation Center in west Houston and later spoke at the rally.
"Martin Luther King worked for society and brought nonviolence into society and politics and we practice this every day," she said.
Victor Ibarra said King's efforts were also valuable to the Hispanic Community.
"We know Martin Luther King was an equal person to everyone," said Ibarra who walked with the Center of Resources for Central American group. "That's why I feel it's important to be here."
