Soul of the man has enormous power. Inner involvement arouses power. Awakening of power or the path of progress is free from any blockade. If full power arouses, there is no danger. If there is any danger, that is related with its application. If we are not prudent or we have no control over the application of power, beneficial powers may be disadvantageous.
Scientific inventions of this age are astonishing. Though these inventions have provided abundant facility to men, but they have intense the danger too. A man of computer-oriented age executes the work of some days within a moment. But in case of incorrect feeding on computer, it may cause unthinkable harm. When Robot will be penetrative to murder in attacking mood due to installation of defective particles, which will prevent its nuisance?
Jain Tirthankar advocated truth. His conception of truth was not based on holy books (Sastras), rather it originated from experience. He said, it is good to acquire power, but it should not be applied. If any saint applies ‘Lavdhi’, he will have to repent. If Tirthankar had not prescribed such restrictions, attention of saints would have been diverted from spiritual preaching and concentrated on exhibition of power.
Bhagwan Mahaveer had unlimited power. Two of his disciples were burnt before him, but he did not apply his power. He neither saved his disciples nor took any step to arrest the persons who burnt them. Rather he put forward the principle that any saint should not utilize his power even in such circumstances.
Man searched for atoms. He invented atomic weapons. World knows the power of atom. Still more than 70 percent of money of the world is spent on manufacturing and maintenance of such harmful weapons. Even after putting signature on the memorandum of understanding for limitation on the use of mid-ranging atomic weapons by two superpowers of the world. The question of manufacturing such weapons afresh is unanswered. It is necessary that efforts should be made immediately to stop the competition to acquire such power and experiment the same.
