Ashtapad Maha Tirth : Message from Chairman

Dear Sadharmik Brothers and Sisters Jai Jinendra

It is a great pleasure to inform you that Pratishtha ceremonies of installing shri Chovisi carved from the gem stones in Shri Ashtapadji Mountain sculpted from crystal was successfully completed on June 20,2010. Eleven days event at Jain Center of America Temple, Ithaca Street,Elmhurst, Queens, NY This event was blessed by many Gurujis and also attended by many Sadharmik brothers and sisters around the world to witness the history in making. The event was a grand success.

Shri Chovisi and Shri Ashtapadji Mountain is a generous gift from Dr. Rajnikant Shah and his family to the Jain Center of America, New York. All members of Jain Center of America, New York thank Dr. Rajnikant Shah and his family and will cherish this for generations to come.

Now Shri Ashtapadji Granth is being presented to Jain community around the world. This Granth is a collection of articles from scriptures compiled in XX volumes on Ashtapadji, never published before. Granth also contains two DVDs containing XX volumes along with master index to help and guide the reader to understand the contents. This Granth will shed light on history of Shri Ashtapadji. These two part Ashtapad Granth are one of a kind. Literature on Ashtapadji has never been compiled and there has not been a Granth written exclusively on Ashtapadji.

Research work was done under leadership of Dr. Rajnikant Shah, who has devoted his time and efforts. Many scholars and scientist have visited Kailash Mansarover mountain region for research work. The research work has taken more than five years. Jain Center of America, New York thanks all of them for their joint efforts, time and dedication.
