Preksha means to see and know oneself. This is a holistically developed method of meditation bringing traditional wisdom and contemporary scientific knowledge together. To be in the now without raag-dwesh or passions of emotions is Preksha Dhyan.
To experience sat-chid-anand by experiencing detachment/ equanimity, is Preksha Dhyan. Preksha Dhyan was developed by Acharya Mahapragya. He studied the Agamas and designed this form of meditation as would be suitable to present day times. Bhavan Mahavir practiced Preksha. With Preksha he used to travel to the higher realms, middles realms and lower realms of the Universe. Similarly Vipassana was also practiced. Any person belonging to any religion would be able to practice these forms of meditation. Preksha Dhayn is a scientific method of meditation and makes a person stable and detached to be eventually fully engrossed in sat-chid-anand.
