The Secret of Past Lives: Meeting the members of family in previous birth - Rajesh Dugad

Published: 28.09.2017

Rajesh Dugad is a resident of Rajasthan. He has migrated to Kolkata. He is a scholar and thinker. He had practiced meditation at Bagdi in Rajasthan. His experience in his own words: Everyone has a question. Is there a previous birth? Is there rebirth? Every seeker has a question. There is soul. There is a body. Soul enters another body after one body withers away. When a person is able to recall his previous birth, that is known as recollection or recall.

There was a festival in Bagdi in 1991. I had gone there. At 8 pm my cousin Sanjay Ranka and I sat down for meditation. Muni Shri directed us to concentrate on Shakti Kendra in the body and start recalling the incidents of the past. The moment I delved deep into the past there was a change in personality. My present identify was wiped out. I discussed various aspects of that saint with Muni Shri Kishanlal. He said that Acharya Mahapragya and Ganadhipati Gurudev Tulsi did not recognize me nor did they discuss with me. We discussed a lot over what I saw. Now the question was how to call back the personality of the previous birth to the present time. At that time pressure was given on both the toes which generated energy and this immediately clicked and reached the gyan kendra.

As the energy generated through the gyan kendra energized the whole body the contact or relationship with the previous birth was snapped and I once again came into the present. Next day at 4:30 am I was called by Ganadhipati Tulsi and Acharya Shri Mahapragya amidst the ascetics and asked me why I was clinging to family life.

I could only say that this is due to my karma. When I meditated on this aspect I got my answer. That I had demonstrated before the sages. I have to do hard penance and repentance for this act of mine. This is an eye opener. This truth was unravelled when I visited a temple in Kolkata. I met the sage Suryanath of Nath sect. The moment I saw him I was driven to my previous birth and I realized that I too belonged to the Nath sect. My name was Satyanath and his name was Karmanath. I had taken food from home. We had food together. We introduced ourselves to each other. He is sage Suryanath even today. He is in Andaman and Nicobar Islands where he is pursuing meditation. He said that our teacher was alive even now who is as old as 1300 years but he is in the Himalayas. Though I wish to meet him but cannot say when. This was my experience in 1988.

I did not have much knowledge about meditation. We have been born many times over. I just wanted to know whether the birth as Satyanath was preceded by many births. So I tried to contact sages but none could clarify this. Those whom I came across they were also in quest of this truth. In 1991 when I met Gurudev Acharya Mahapragya (it was he who had blessed me), I used to go there regularly. Every time I met him he only directed me to concentrate. As far as I remember it was in February 2006 at 6:30 am when I could recall my previous birth during meditation. I found out another procedure to recall my previous birth. The first recall was to be wiped out. In the next I had to pledge and concentrate. I had thought of my guru in the place of deity. I saw that as life leaves the body and tries to reach a place where I found that my body was on the funeral pyre and it was being cremated. I saw a youth standing by my side. I asked him, "Which place is this?" The reply was "Mahabalipuram". The very moment I came to my consciousness I rang up my friend Dinesh at Chennai to find out where this place was. He said that it was just 60 km from there.

I met sage Suryanath who was my comrade in previous birth in April-May 2006. He told me that I was the son of an Aiyyar Brahmin. He also said that I had died at the age of 23-24 and that I should not go there. During the course of time I met Vinod Goyal, a client of mine who came with a social worker to Artist Street, Satyanarayan Park and I was also returning from a Jain temple, when we met. The social worker was a south Indian who said that he knew me and that he had met me but I just laughed it away because I thought I never had any contact with a South Indian. This was probably his imagination.

Sometime in August 2006 my client Vinod Goyal had to be admitted in the Apollo Hospital, Madras. His son wanted me to go there. I treated him as my elder brother. I went alone to Mahabalipuram along with Vinod's son and thought of meeting the family. I told the driver that I have to meet the Aiyyer family. On reaching Mahabalipuram the driver said that there was no Brahmin family and he asked me to go to Kanchipura. But I did not want to go when the family was in Mahabalipuram. I rang up my friend who advised me not to go but to find out. We asked the guide and he took us there. The moment I reached there I asked whether someone had died at the age of 23 to 25 in that family. They said that it was so and that he was his elder brother. I asked whether there were big coconut trees. They were surprised and asked how I know about that. I used to practice certain rituals and asked them whether they were following those. They said they were following those rituals. They showed me their family deity. They showed me the rosary which I used. The moment I touched the rosary I felt the pain. We returned next day. I went to the home of my friend Dinesh Jain who is a C.A in Chennai. Vinod Goyal and I went with him to that house. We discussed for long. When I asked about the cause "Mahabalipuram". When I asked about the cause to go through only two past births. I pay my respectful gratitude to Muni Shri Krishanlal. I also bow to saint Shri Sunermal ji who showed me the path of yoga and established the truth that body and soul are different from each other.
